About Me
Although I was born in Haywood County, NC, I grew up in Michigan. I have always loved the mountains, so I was truly blessed to meet my husband, Hugh, while I was vacationing in Haywood County Thirty years ago! I love where I live, and with whom I live with!
  
Art has always been an important part of my life. My favorite classes in school were art related, and a great deal of my free time was spent drawing and painting. I do not have impressive credentials, nor any formal training. What I do have is a great love for the vastness of our Father’s creation. I am very thankful that he has placed within my being a desire to re-create on canvas the astounding beauty we see all around us!

Hugh and I became parents within the first two years of our lives together. Our oldest son, Aaron, is career military. He is currently a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He and his wife Caroline have given us two incredibly precious grandchildren, Aidan and Mikayla. Our daughter, Chelsea, is a gifted pianist, but is pursuing a degree in psychology, and plans to work with troubled youth. Our youngest son, Jared, also a gifted musician, (banjo and guitar), has recently married his sweet Emma, and is serving our country in the U.S. Army.

I am excited to be painting full time now! I spent the first half of my adult life as a full time wife and mother. Now, as I am entering my mid-life, the artistic side of me is clamoring for a turn. The desire I have for my artwork is that it brings a moment of peace and refreshment into the lives of those who view it! If am successful in achieving that goal, then, I have truly achieved great success.
